Mary Kay Time Wise Set

No one wants to look old and gloomy especially us girls. As much as possible we want to achieve glowing and healthy skin. The fact that we have different jobs and lifestyle, factors causing premature aging and wrinkles differ too. It could be excessive exposure to sunlight or smoking. Stress can also make our skin dull and saggy.

Let me share the products I use to maintain the natural glow of my skin. :)

Shirt Capital CBU Quick Photoshoot

I was hanging out with my workmates when I received a text message from a friend. A friend who was once my previous Team Leader way back in Convergys. He asked if I could do a quick photo shoot with him wearing one of his own locally made shirts. Just to let you know I'm not a model so please lower your expectations.

Probably he couldn't just think of someone else who will do it for free but me. (Peace TL Lass!) Anyway, I said yes without hesitation. The fact that I don't have a nice camera for my blog, I thought it would be a great opportunity to ask copies of pictures and post them here. I was the model anyway. Lol! I know, it doesn't work that way.

Here we go!

You want this T-shirt for free? Visit my friend's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ShirtCapital for more info.

I would like to thank the owner of this brand new T-shirt line (SHIRT CAPITAL CBU), Lasser Rigor, who also took these photos.

Mary Kay True Dimensions Lipstick Review

Hello guys! I haven't written any blog posts for the past month because I was kind of distracted doing something else. Anyway, I'm back on track. Thanks to my colleague Johnn for always reminding me about my blog.

Today, let me share something most descendants of Eve like. Lipstick! I was excited when I found out that Mary Kay just recently released another new gorgeous line of product for our lips. It's the NEW Mary Kay True Dimensions Lipstick. Here in the Philippines, 7 kissable shades are available. I purchased two shades and I love it. The packaging is all new and stylish.

All new packaging!
Metalized, smoky platinum-colored case

Ready to use it? Push the clear button located at the top and the sleek lipstick will be released from its sleeve. :)

Shades: Color Me Coral and Wild About Pink

I love to wear this shade (Color me Coral) whenever I'm at work.

  • Drenches lips in moisture and locks it in for endless comfort
  • Infused with skin care ingredients, the formula smoothes fine lines and helps lips look fuller
  • Delivers pure, radiant color

It has 2 age-defying ingredients: extract from the "kiss me quick" plant (Portulaca Pilosa) and Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38. Together the complex helps boost production of collagen. It also contains Vitamin E, sunflower seed oil, jojoba and mango butters. The result? Lightweight formula with buttery-smooth texture that melts onto lips

By the way, here's a list of different shades available:
Wild About Pink
Color me Coral
Natural Beaute
Sizzling Red
Spice 'N' Nice

So girls, what are you waiting for? Try it now.  Till next time. Thanks for dropping by. :)

Time to Shape Up

Finally! I had the will power to hit the gym this year. If the dinner with my friend Dina didn't happen, I wouldn't forced myself to go to Workout Fitness. Can you imagine me eating five spicy "lambay", two and a half plates of rice, "humba", "pancit", "lumpia" and two glasses of cold orange juice?! And it didn't happen once, another bountiful feast with her was granted the next day. On the third day, I convinced my office mates to eat where we had a delicious dinner with Dina. Again, I ate like there was no tomorrow. Oh my gosh! I could feel my whole body getting wider and bigger. For three consecutive days, I went to this eat all you can restaurant. It was very alarming (hmm.. I think that's a strong word) to see how my body got chubbier and heavier and I'm telling you it's not pretty.

Everything happens for a reason. I got to experience to feel my weight, to feel depressed most of the time and to had so low self-esteem for me to realize how important to have a healthy lifestyle. I can't stand not to do anything about it.

Let me share few of my photos taken at Workout Fitness Center. I've been in the gym for four months now and I don't have any plans to quit. (Oh Lord, blind me from laziness!)

Two of Workout Fitness' friendly and muscled toned gym instructors. Vicente/Insik (orange shirt) and Kuya Ramil (yellow shirt)

Doing Side Bend and obviously wearing my Comkets shirt.

Very serious trying to get some abs :)

Endorphin working in action

I love when I'm working out because I feel happier. When things aren't going so well sometimes at work, one hour of Aerobics, dancing Psy's popular "Gentleman", carrying those dumbbells really help me de-stress. My confidence gets better and my body gets healthier and more toned. I also achieved softer and smoother skin. I can't mention all the good benefits exercise has given me. This is one thing for sure, I am starting to live a happier life.

Find time to exercise my lady friends. It's time to shape up and embrace your true potential of becoming more beautiful inside and out. You can do it!

Mary Kay Office in Cebu

Most of my customers are curious where the Mary Kay office is located here in Cebu and how does it look like. So I decided to take pictures. (By the way, I asked permission first from the staff) This is not to advertise or anything goes like that.

I took these photos yesterday when I dropped by the office to pick up my orders.

Ground Floor Cebu Capitol Commercial
Complex N. Escario St., Brgy.
Camputhaw, Cebu City
Tel. No.: (032) 254-8081
Fax: (032) 253-4661

Meet this friendly man, name is Sir Lito. While he's busy preparing my orders, I asked him to give me a quick pose.

Whenever I visit this office, it really feels like I'm in the right place. The people are very welcoming and we share the same passion. I'm so blessed to have Mary Kay in my life. Wanna check what Mary Kay gave me yesterday? A PINK JACKET! Hopefully the pink car will be the next one. I know, I know, I still have a long way, but isn't it exciting?! We'll never know. ;)

Let me share their Facebook page here http://www.facebook.com/MaryKayPhilippines.

My Skincare Basics

How do you take good care of your skin? Do you just leave your skin unprotected against the sun? Do you sleep with your make up on? If that's the case, then you're kind of close to premature aging and wrinkles. Let me give you my little knowledge about skin care basics. It's very essential to achieve a healthy and glowing skin.

1. Cleanse - Before going to bed I really make sure I remove my makeup and any impurities found in my face. What I use is a cleanser that gives me 3 benefits. It cleanses, exfoliates and freshens. It's the one from Mary Kay, the TimeWise 3-In-1  Cleanser. It deeply cleanses and removes dead skin surface cells. It also refines my pores!

2. Moisturize - I have an oily face but when I started working in an air conditioned facility my skin looked very dry. To restore the normal moisture of my face I use an age fighting moisturizer. Still from Mary Kay, it's the TimeWise Age Fighting Moisturizer.(you know, I'm not getting any younger) It softens my skin and I love it. It's actually one of my favorites.

3. Protect - Does anybody know that by using foundation is a fantastic way of protecting your skin from further damage? (given your're using a quality foundation) Yes, you're right. I'm an avid user of Mary Kay's TimeWise Liquid Foundation. The matte one. It has Vitamin E and has a collagen-building peptides ingredient. It doesn't even feel heavy on my face.

There you go! It's very simple. Whatever skincare brands you're using right now, the important thing is you really take good care of yourself. Consistent use of quality products is recommended. Get glowing and boost your confidence with a healthy skin.

Job Well Done!

I am a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and I am pretty serious about it. Look what I’ve got! Thanks to our Sales Director Tita Sandra for giving me this award. The Mary Kay Pin inspires me to hit my target more. Oh! I forgot to mention, a Mary Kay perfume and a bag were also given to me.

This may be a small achievement for a newbie like me, but I am determined to achieve more. I love doing it! Helping other people gain their confidence back is such an amazing experience. Being sincere and honest to your customers is very important. This is not just all about making money. It's about building relationship (the friendly one) and making my customers happy using Mary Kay products. I set my goals through a vision board (Yes, I'm doing it! Law of Attraction? Familiar? ) and one of them is to make sure to have a new Happy Customer.

This is such a great business for women who love skin care and make-up that really works. Mary Kay products are really effective and many are making reviews about it (I'll make one about Microdermabrasion set soon). I thank the Big Man in Heaven for graciously giving me a wonderful business which I really enjoy. Thank you Mary Kay. :)

How Mary Kay Inspires Me to Move Forward

It took me sometime to really figure out the things I wanted to achieve in my life. I read books religiously about dreams and how to fulfill them. I highlighted the sentences I found useful to me. After reading, only one question came to my mind, “What do I really really want?!” Oh yeah, I wanted to be an astronaut! What if I die in outer space? That question used to be so difficult for me to answer.

As a young kid back then, I loved watching people doing makeup. At home, we only had two TV channels and on every Sunday at Channel 8 (I think that was RPN Network), there was this tv show hosted by Ricky Reyes. One the show’s segments was when the host himself would do make overs to ordinary women who wanted to look more dramatic and beautiful. I was inspired to do it too. So what I did, I made my two younger sisters my models. Tsadaaaa…! I made them looked like celebrities! But they didn’t like it. I was experimenting on them that even on their sleep I put make up on their face. When they finally realized that I was a bad make up artist they rejected my once in a blue moon offer to make them more beautiful. Losing hope wasn’t in my vocabulary, so my last option to be my model was my mother. ;)

Fast forward to 2013. Mary Kay came into my life. I believe that my dream to become a makeup artist is slowly being fulfilled. I am happy of what Mary Kay cosmetics offer. I am using their products and it’s really showing positive results. Now, I am a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. Being one inspires me not to be hopeless when I don’t feel like working with my traditional job. Mary Kay is my outlet. I am able to do what I really love to do. There’s a joy in my heart whenever I see women’s eyes glow after the skin care classes and make overs. They love the products and they become loyal Mary Kay users.

Make your passion your profession”.  I got that line from the movie “The 3 Idiots” and I am such a believer of that message. It inspires me to move forward and make my own world a better place. I love my traditional job and I love doing my Mary Kay business too. According to Bro. Bo Sanchez, “Passion is not just doing the things you love to do but also doing the things you don’t want to do for the sake of your loved ones”.
